A share of the revenue, not a discount code

There is no code, and there is nothing for your audience to type. You get a link. Someone follows it, signs up, and pays the ordinary price. Nothing about what they see or what they pay is different because they came through you.

The reason is that this is a revenue share. The subscription is £79.99 a year for the whole household, and if you referred it, £40 of that is yours. We keep the rest. A discount would come out of the same pot and leave less for both of us, so the money goes to you instead of off the price.

What earns a commission

Annual subscriptions only. There is a monthly plan and it earns nothing. That is not a detail we are hiding at the bottom of a page: a monthly subscriber can leave in month two, and paying £40 out of one month of revenue would be a loss on every referral that did it.

The first year only. One payment of £40 per customer, when their first annual subscription is paid. Renewals earn nothing, and neither does a second subscription by the same person.

A subscription that is actually paid for. Every new account gets a free trial, and a trial is not revenue. The commission is earned on the day the first annual payment clears, not on the day the account is created.

Within 30 days of the click. We remember that someone arrived through your link for 30 days, on the device they used. Nobody buys planning software in the first five minutes, so the window is deliberately long enough to cover a real decision, and it is not open ended.

Not your own subscription. Referring yourself is not a referral, and neither is bidding on the CrestCast name in paid search.

How and when you are paid

By bank transfer, in sterling, once the customer's first annual payment has cleared and is past its refund window. In practice that means we pay in the month after they subscribe.

There is no minimum threshold and no wallet to accumulate a balance in. One referral, one transfer. You will need to send us an invoice or an account name and sort code; if you are VAT registered, tell us and we will handle it accordingly.

You get a private dashboard link when you join, showing your clicks, how many of them subscribed, what you have earned and what has been paid. It has no login, so keep the link to yourself, and it deliberately shows you no information at all about the individual people who signed up.

What this does not change

CrestCast takes no money from banks, lenders, insurers or fund managers, and none of the numbers in the app are shaped by where a fee might come from. That is a statement about money coming IN, and it is unchanged. This programme is money going OUT, to someone who told their readers about us. It cannot influence what the forecast says, because the forecast has never known or cared how a customer arrived.

We also do not pay for placement in a ranking, a comparison table or a “best of” list, and joining this programme does not buy one.

Applying

Email affiliates@crestcast.co.uk with where you would be writing about us and roughly who reads it. There is no form and no application deadline. We read everything and reply either way.

If it is a fit, you get a link of your own and the dashboard that goes with it, usually the same week. If it is not, we will say so plainly rather than leaving you waiting.

Tell us if you have used the app, because it makes a stronger case than anything else you could put in the email. It is a free trial and no card is needed to start one.
