Affiliate programme terms
The whole agreement, in public, before you apply. You are not asked to accept it until we have said yes, because before that nothing has been offered.
Version 2026-09-06. Effective from 06/09/2026.
When an affiliate accepts these terms we record the version, the date, and a hash of the exact words that were on their screen. That is so a question in two years has a definite answer rather than a recollection. The hash of the text below is:

CRESTCAST AFFILIATE PROGRAMME TERMS
Version 2026-09-06. Effective from 06/09/2026.
These terms are the agreement between you (the affiliate) and CrestCast (we, us, our) about the
referral programme. You accept them by pressing the accept button in your affiliate account. The
version you accept is recorded with the date and a hash of this exact text, and that recorded
version governs every commission you earn while it is the current one.
1. WHAT THE PROGRAMME IS
1.1 We give you a tracking link of the form crestcast.co.uk/yourname. If somebody follows it and
then pays for an annual CrestCast subscription, we pay you a commission.
1.2 This is a revenue share and not a discount. There is no code and there is nothing for your
audience to type. The person you refer pays the ordinary price and sees the ordinary product.
1.3 You are an independent contractor. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent, partner or
joint venturer, and you have no authority to enter into any commitment on our behalf.
2. WHAT EARNS A COMMISSION
2.1 The commission is GBP 40 for each customer whose first annual subscription is paid for.
2.2 Annual subscriptions only. The monthly plan earns nothing.
2.3 The first year only. One payment per customer. Renewals earn nothing, and neither does a
second subscription taken out by the same person.
2.4 The commission is earned on the day the first annual payment clears, not on the day an
account is created. A free trial is not revenue and earns nothing until it converts.
2.5 The customer must arrive through your link and subscribe within 30 days of that click. We
remember the click for 30 days, on the device that made it. We do not track people across
devices, so a click on a phone and a subscription on a laptop may not be attributed, and we
cannot credit a referral we did not record.
2.6 Your own subscription is not a referral, and neither is one taken out by a household you are
a member of. Your own CrestCast account is excluded automatically.
3. HOW AND WHEN YOU ARE PAID
3.1 We pay monthly in arrears. A commission earned in a calendar month is paid within 30 days of
the end of that month.
3.2 There is no minimum threshold. One referral, one payment.
3.3 Payments are made in sterling through Stripe. You complete Stripe's own onboarding and give
your bank details to Stripe, not to us. We never see, hold or store your bank details, and
there is no field anywhere in our systems that could contain them. We hold only the account
identifier Stripe gives us.
3.4 We cannot pay you until your Stripe onboarding is complete. Commissions earned before then
are not lost. They are held and paid in the first payment run after your account is ready.
3.5 Amounts are exclusive of VAT. If you are VAT registered, tell us, and we will pay VAT in
addition on receipt of a valid VAT invoice.
3.6 You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance and any registration or reporting
obligation arising from what we pay you. We do not deduct tax at source.
4. CHARGEBACKS AND REVERSED PAYMENTS
4.1 We have no refund policy and there is no clawback for a customer who simply stops using
CrestCast. A commission that has been earned stays earned.
4.2 A chargeback is different, because it takes the money back from us whatever our policy says.
If a customer's payment is reversed by their bank or card issuer, or is recalled as
fraudulent, the commission for that customer is cancelled.
4.3 If a cancelled commission has not yet been paid, we simply do not pay it. If it has been
paid, we deduct it from your next payment. If there is no next payment within 90 days, the
amount is repayable to us on request.
4.4 If a payment is reversed because of something you did, including a referral you created
yourself or through anyone acting for you, clause 6 applies as well.
5. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
5.1 PAID SEARCH ON OUR NAME. You may not bid on CrestCast, or on misspellings of it, or on our
domain names, in any paid search or paid social auction. You may not use our name in the
display URL or the visible path of a paid advertisement. This is the one that costs us money
directly, because it makes us pay you a commission on a customer who was already searching
for us by name.
5.2 COUPON, VOUCHER AND DISCOUNT-CODE SITES. You may not list CrestCast on a coupon or
discount-code site or represent that a CrestCast discount, code or voucher exists. There is
no discount, so any such listing is untrue as well as unhelpful.
5.3 CLAIMS WE WOULD HAVE TO STAND BEHIND. You may not describe CrestCast as regulated financial
advice, as authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, or as tax advice, because it is
none of those things. You may not promise a specific financial outcome, a guaranteed saving
or a guaranteed return. You may not state a feature, a price or a figure that is not true of
the product as it ships. If you are not sure whether something is true of the app, ask us
first and we will tell you plainly.
5.4 PRETENDING TO BE US. You may not use our name, logo or branding in a way that suggests your
site is operated by us, register a domain or a social handle containing our name, or send
email that appears to come from us.
5.5 UNSOLICITED AND ARTIFICIAL TRAFFIC. No spam, no unsolicited bulk email, no automated
clicking, no purchased or incentivised traffic, no cookie stuffing, no placing the link
somewhere it is followed without a person choosing to follow it.
5.6 DISCLOSURE. You must make the commercial relationship clear wherever you promote us, in a way
that meets the UK Advertising Standards Authority's rules. A clear label such as "ad" or a
plain sentence saying you earn a commission is enough. This protects you as much as us.
5.7 CONTEXT. You may not promote CrestCast alongside content that is illegal, hateful, adult, or
aimed at children.
6. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
6.1 Either of us may end this agreement at any time, for any reason, by email. No notice period
is required.
6.2 We may suspend your account while we look into something. A suspended account stops earning
new commissions and keeps everything already earned.
6.3 If the agreement ends, commissions you have already earned are still paid on the normal
schedule. The one exception is a breach of clause 5 involving fraud or misrepresentation, in
which case we may withhold unpaid commissions connected to that breach. We will tell you
which ones and why.
6.4 When the agreement ends, stop using the link and remove our branding within a reasonable
time. Any commission from a click made before the agreement ended is still honoured for the
remainder of its 30 day window.
7. YOUR CRESTCAST ACCOUNT
7.1 Approved affiliates get a CrestCast account at no cost, for as long as CrestCast operates. We
call it a partner account. It is a full account with every feature, and it is not a customer
account: it is not counted in our subscriber numbers or our revenue, and it is not billed.
7.2 It is for you. It is not transferable, it has no cash value, and it may not be sold, shared
or given away.
7.3 It cannot refer itself. A subscription on your own partner account earns no commission, and
the system refuses the attribution rather than relying on either of us to notice.
7.4 IT SURVIVES TERMINATION. If this agreement ends, for any reason including our decision, you
keep the account and the household data in it. We think taking away somebody's financial
planning because a marketing arrangement ended would be a shabby thing to do, and it is worth
less to us than the goodwill it would cost. The single exception is an account obtained or
used fraudulently.
8. DATA
8.1 We give you counts and amounts. We never give you the names, email addresses, signup dates or
any other detail of the people who subscribe through your link, and there is nowhere in your
dashboard that such a thing could appear.
8.2 Anything you collect from your own audience is yours, and you are the controller of it. We
are not, and we do not receive it.
8.3 We process your own contact details and payment records to run the programme and to meet our
accounting obligations. Our privacy policy at crestcast.co.uk/privacy explains how.
8.4 Your dashboard login is personal to you. Do not share it.
9. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
9.1 We may change these terms. A change is a new version with a new date, and we will email you
when one is published.
9.2 A new version applies to commissions earned after you accept it. The version you last
accepted continues to govern until then, which is why we record the version, the date and a
hash of the exact text you were shown.
10. LIABILITY AND LAW
10.1 Neither of us excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for
fraud, because the law does not allow it.
10.2 Otherwise, our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commissions
payable to you in the twelve months before the claim.
10.3 Neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profit, loss of business or any indirect or
consequential loss.
10.4 This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and
Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. GENERAL
11.1 This is the whole agreement about the programme and it replaces anything said before it.
11.2 If a clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the agreement continues.
11.3 You may not transfer this agreement to anybody else. We may transfer it if our business is
sold, and we will tell you if that happens.
11.4 Questions go to affiliates@crestcast.co.uk.
