Terms of Service

CrestCast is a personal finance forecasting application for UK households, provided by CrestCast Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland (company number NI744565, registered office 2 Grahamsbridge Park, Dundonald, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT16 2DE). By creating an account or using CrestCast, you agree to these terms with CrestCast Ltd. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

CrestCast is a modelling and forecasting tool. The figures it produces are projections based on the information you enter, not advice or recommendations. Nothing in CrestCast constitutes financial, tax, investment, or legal advice.

For decisions that may significantly affect your finances, such as mortgages, investments, pension planning, or tax, you should consult a qualified professional. CrestCast is a planning aid, not a substitute for professional advice.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use CrestCast on behalf of another person without their consent.

You must be 18 or older to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.

CrestCast is a single household subscription, billed monthly at £7.99 or annually at £79.99. The annual price works out at £6.67 a month. One subscription covers your whole household. The price is inclusive of VAT where applicable. We will give you advance notice of any change to pricing before it takes effect.

Every new account includes a 30-day free trial with full access, counted from the time the account is created. No payment card is required to create an account. A valid payment card is required when you subscribe, and if you subscribe during the trial, the remaining trial days are applied to the subscription, so the free period is 30 days in total.

A monthly subscription renews each month and an annual one each year, unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Payments are processed by Stripe. CrestCast does not store your card details.

If you subscribe and then change your mind, you have 14 days from the day we take your first payment to cancel and get that payment back in full. Email support@crestcast.co.uk within those 14 days and we will refund you, whatever the reason. This is your cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and nothing in these terms limits it.

With the 30-day free trial before it, that is 44 days from creating your account before any money is irreversibly spent.

This applies to your first payment on either plan. After those 14 days we do not refund part of a month or a year. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal, and your access continues until the end of the month or year you have paid for.

You own your financial data. We do not claim any rights to it. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how your data is stored and protected.

You can export your data at any time from your account settings. You can also delete your account there. Deleting is a request rather than an instant action: nothing is removed for 30 days, you can cancel within that time and carry on as before, and after 30 days everything on your account goes. If you share a household, your partner keeps their own copy of the joint accounts, bills and debts you shared, because those are their records too. See our Privacy Policy for what that covers.

You agree not to:

• Use CrestCast for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service.
• Introduce malware or attempt to disrupt the service.
• Use automated tools to access the service without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice where necessary.

We aim to keep CrestCast available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, release updates, or experience downtime. We will do our best to notify users in advance of planned maintenance.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. If we discontinue CrestCast, we will give at least 30 days' notice and provide a means to export your data.

CrestCast is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for any financial decisions made on the basis of CrestCast's projections, or for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from use of the service.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid for the service during that period.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of CrestCast after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
