For couples & families
Financial planning for couples and families, in one shared view
Most money apps are built for one person. But the big decisions belong to the household, not an individual: the mortgage, a second income, childcare, moving house, a career change. CrestCast gives a couple or a whole family a single, forward-looking picture, so you are both planning from the same numbers.
Two people, one financial picture
When each partner tracks their own money separately, no one ever sees the whole thing. One person knows what is in the joint account; the other is on top of the mortgage; nobody has the combined future in front of them. That is where the blind spots come from, and the nasty surprises.
CrestCast joins it up. Both of you link into the same household, and the forecast adds up every income, bill, saving and debt across the two of you into one cashflow, one net worth, one profit & loss. When you are looking at the same picture, “can we afford it” stops being a guess and becomes a number.
Personal and joint, kept separate but combined
Real couples rarely pool everything. CrestCast keeps a clean line between the joint accounts and each person's own, and lets you switch between them: the household as a whole, the shared money on its own, or either partner individually. You get the combined future without having to merge two lives into one pot.
It reads the way couples actually organise money: a joint account for shared bills, personal accounts for everything else. The model matches your life instead of forcing your life to match the model. See why both partners need the same picture.
Whose money is whose, and the household added up

Figures shown are the sample profile, not a real household.
Built for the whole family
A household is more than two adults. You can add children and model what they actually cost, what you are putting aside for them and what it might be worth by a target age. You can also run the family-defining decisions through the forecast before you commit to them: a new baby, a move to a bigger house, one parent going part-time, a stretch of leave.
Because it is a forecast, not a budget, you see the effect years out, not just this month. Related reading: how much a child actually costs and what maternity and paternity leave does to your finances.
One subscription. Private by design.
A single subscription covers the whole household. Your partner joins with their own login and is covered by yours, so you are not paying twice to plan together.
And CrestCast never connects to your bank. You decide what it knows, and nothing goes in unless you put it there. For a lot of couples that is the whole point: here is why we built it that way. When you are ready to put real numbers in, the affordability and overpayment calculators are a good place to start.
Common questions
›Can my partner and I use CrestCast together?
Yes. That is exactly what it is built for. You each keep your own account and log in as yourselves, then link into one shared household. From there you both see the same forecast: joint income and bills, each person's own salary and savings, the mortgage, the lot. Neither of you is signing in as the other.
›Do we both need to pay for a subscription?
No. One subscription covers the whole household. Your partner joins with their own account and is covered by yours. They do not need to buy their own.
›Can we keep some things separate?
Yes. CrestCast keeps a clear line between joint money and each person’s own. You can look at the household as a whole, at the shared/joint accounts on their own, or at either person individually. A couple who keep some finances separate can still see one combined future without merging everything.
›Does it connect to our bank accounts?
No. CrestCast never links to your bank. You enter what you want it to know, and nothing is pulled in automatically. That is exactly why a lot of couples prefer it to bank-connected budgeting apps.
›Can we plan around children and family life?
Yes. Alongside the household forecast you can model children: their savings, a target age, the cost of a new baby, childcare, a period of maternity or paternity leave. The big family decisions show up in the numbers before you make them.
This is not advice
CrestCast is a forecasting and planning tool, not regulated financial advice. Figures are projections based on what you enter and the assumptions you choose, and the future rarely matches any forecast exactly. For decisions with real consequences, speak to a qualified adviser about your own circumstances.
